Heartstrings Laszlo used for Reserve Winners Dog today in Burlington PA over beautiful competition and much older Dogues. 6 months, 1 day old – his first official “big boy” AKC show. All we wanted was a great time in the ring; in the ribbons a wonderful and special surprise.

At last….the moment arrived and GCH Claire was bred! She simply could not decide on suitors so she chose – 2!!
Dual-sired litter: Bronze GCH CH Varela’s Star of America or “Captain America.” Captain a Westminster Invite and Crufts Qualifier from California.
Multi Euro CH Vlempa Bardos, a Hungarian bred boy.
Both sires are wonderful choices for her and we look forward with great anticipation. We will ultrasound early June to confirm pregnancy at which point we will begin accepting deposits. Once puppies arrive we will DNA to match each baby to his or her respective sire. Our anticipated due date is July 14 and highest hopes, plans already underway for a Marvel Comic/European-themed nursery.
GCH Heartstrings Claire
Following several nice ribbons in back-to-back shows Ms. Claire has decided it’s time to turn her attention towards being a mom. Claire is Grand Champion, approximately 20 points away from Bronze Grand Champion. She is also CHIC certified: clear heart on echocardiogram by a board certified cardiologist, OFA elbows, OFA shoulders, PENN hips and OFA patellas. In the past 10 years, only 30 DDB’s in the US have achieved CHIC clearance.
We have begun pre-natal care and testing, trips to the reproductive specialist every other day where we are monitoring her progesterone and waiting for the perfect time. Pre-natal vitamins including folic acid, everything we can do to ensure the happy and safe arrival of this much anticipated litter.
This past weekend we drove 10 hours each way to present Ms. Claire to Rafael Alcrudo. Mr. Alcrudo is a highly respected judge and expert of the DDB, easily in the top 3 judges in the world of our breed. From Spain, only coming to the US every 3 or 4 years and we were not going to miss this opportunity to bring our “A Game” to a judge like this.
Mr. Alcrudo used Claire for Select Bitch over gorgeous competition. We are over the moon with this enormous compliment and giant badge of honor. Getting a ribbon from Alcrudo is a dream come true.
